Mozambique Bio-Fuel Industries, Limitada set-up a Distillation Facility in Namagoa, 20km from Mocuba (Zambezia) with a focus to produce alcoholic beverages. The distillation plant has a capacity of 5 million litres of portable ethanol per year which is currently fed using maize produced by the local community. MBFI produces MABU whisky a proud wholly locally produced Mozambican product. The company is also exploring investment into its farming operations on its 1000Ha of farming land.

Mocambiçana Industria Alimentar Group Lda
Mozambican Industria Alimentar Group, Limitada set-up a PET water bottling facility in Metuge, 40km from Pemba (Cabo Delgado). MIAG primary market focus is the gas project in Palma/Afungi. The plant has a capacity of 10,000 bottles per hour (56M bottles per year) in two (2) formats (0.5Lt/1.5Lt) with capacity to produce carbonated soft drinks and fruit juices. MIAG acquired a new plant to produce 20Lt water bottles.

Alfa Agricultura Limitada set-up a farming estate and is located in Monapo, between Nampula and Nacala. The company main focus is cashew farming. The company has title over approx. 1000Ha of land. Alfa Agri planted an estimated 60,000 cashew trees with the objective of reaching 100,000 trees.
